Jitambue Kwanza Development Organization (Jitambue Kwanza) is a Swahili word that means   (Recognize Yourself First) Jitambue Kwanza is a local organization founded by Elinaja Lyimo who is a visionary, confident, passionate and committed enough to see child’s sustainable development through holistic transformation by support a better future for all children and youth by funding   programs that help children and their families within their community. This includes through education, protection, healthcare, nutrition programs, livelihoods support, community services or centres and early intervention especially for children with disabilities, programs and services to help youth leaving care integrate into society and lead independent lives, adult learning, economic development, and local volunteer services. The organization was registered as a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit organization. Founded in 2012 and officially registered on 20th April 2015 under registration certificate number 00NGO/00007921, issued by Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children. Jitambue Kwanza operates in Tanzania mainland with the main office in Arusha, northern part of Tanzania. Organization is dedicated to bring holistic transformation, welfare and development of children, teens and youth of Tanzania by prepare them to be the nation of today and tomorrow. Jitambue Kwanza believes that investing in children by protecting them, educating them and helping them to get quality education, basic needs, health service especially most vulnerable children, teens and disabled one. Empowering youth by encouraging them, supporting them to fully identify and develop their talents, gift, ability, be innovative, creative, being responsible, self- awareness and self- reliance. And to transforming community so that people they become empowered, educated, self-confidence, authentic leader, role models and change agents capable of creating the conducive environment for a better and sustainable future by solving the social, cultural and economic problems of children and youth in Tanzania and Africa as well.
